Powerline Proposal, Comments Due by July 25

Friends need to comment on the CAPX2020 powerline proposal. This is a new comment period and comments go to the USDA Rural Utilities Service (not Xcel). Information can be found at this link.

There is a new route proposed that would move the line off from the rivers edge. This route can be seen at this link.

However, regardless of the new route in Wisconsin, the line would still need to cross the refuge at either Alma, Winona or La Crescent.

Comments are due by July 25, 2009.
